Worlds within worlds.

Realms that overlap with one another.

Gates and portals and the creatures that flit back and forth between them.

And somewhere among them all, slinking and secret and shrouded, a long armed creature skulks and stalks for mortal prey...

This is pure gold! Excellent addition to the lore about The Suff.

You wove a lot together without causing whiplash, bravo!

I suppose everything becomes a secret government project eventually 🤣

Gotta say, I didn't expect the Suff to veer into the world of the fae, but, at the same time... it works. I've always been a sucker for fairies of a more frightening sort. It's admirable how you managed to weave so many disparate pieces together, and I'm flattered that mine left enough of an impact that you would include it as one worth mentioning in this greater mythos.

Thank you so much! I felt the same way when I saw you'd extended Fanny and Ralph's journey with those WWI veteran cops. It really made me want to read more!

This was quite the rollercoaster of a story! It is nothing short of amazing how you weaved so many of the other stories into this and also split realities...I'm astonished.

You're seriously making me consider going back and writing more, how dare you.

Thank you! If you're thinking of making a part two... DO IT! :D

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed, I felt bad leaving poor Jackie to such a dark fate

Interesting. I loved this conclusion to the story. I almost wonder what would happen if the Soviets got to the Suff first. Hm. Fascinating. This was awesome!

👀 if only someone would write it (?) (pls)

Michael S. Atkinson's avatar

I just might. :D

Michael S. Atkinson's avatar

I did. :) It's more one specific Soviet than, say, all of them, but that was the way the story went, and so it goes.

Oooo. The Suff as a spirit of the unseelie court. Thats a fun concept. Apropos i think. Would explain the weird body dimensions and spirit theft.

Loved this story. 👏

Thank you! It was where I wanted to go in the beginning and it worked out so well with all the other stories written
