But of course! Your story has been a great ride. Funny story, the serial I’m working on currently originally took place in Montana, and I moved it to Idaho to stay out of Evening’s way 😅
This is a brand new serial I have quietly been grinding away on. Due to a particular aspect of the plot, it’s something I need to write completely, beginning to end, before I publish!
The roots of Luke's history, particularly what his friends and family know of it, are starting to sprout in just the right way to make us curious for more, but also add the appropriate level of stakes. The early chapters focusing on his relationship with his family are paying off here. Even without knowing specifically what Luke screwed up on, it's enough to know that he messed up somewhere and that impacted the family in some major way. I think I know what that way is, but I'm going to keep my mouth good and shut on that until the next chapter comes out.
I love the seeds you plant here. Referencing a ton of interesting backstory nuggets between family members. Excited to see what comes next!
Super happy that you’re still enjoying! Thank you so much for reading :)

Whaaaat? You do/did not have to do that! If that is an author faux-pas, I wouldn’t have known. Those things don’t bother me if so.
I really appreciate the thought! That’s super nice of you.
Out of curiosity, are you speaking about Coyote in the Groundhog’s Den or is this a new serial I’ve missed?

Very curious about why the Grimm book is so important to Luke, why his mother had to take it away from him..
Also, wondering whether naming the town Rackham is a nod to Arthur Rackham??
About Rackham: yes! It's a little nod to his illustrations of Grimms' fairytales :)
Pulpy indeed. Like fresh bark off a birch. Go on….

I’m excited to learn more about Luke’s past! His poor mama, though. She’s trying so hard!
Thank you for sticking with the story and being so engaging, Bridget! I’m happy you’re enjoying 😊
