I’m getting vampire vibes from this whole they’ve been here for a long time thing from the foot in each camp townie dude, the rosary, and ravens (hyena-laugh-bird is seriously creepy stuff). Stabbing wounds is a good bit of distraction if this does turn out to be vampires! The Grimm’s Fairy Tales bit was cool characterization, well done with that. I’m super curious why he thinks his Mom has hidden it, but I’m likely over-fixating on a detail that’s not the point of the story :D

I always find animal killings and/or hybrids the creepiest thing ever and I'm extremely nervous but completely compelled to find out what happens!
One deer dead is understandable. Ten is overkill and waste of meat. Something really wanted those animals dead.
