October Update
Fireside dispatches for a haunted season
I love autumn. I love sweaters, boots, the food. Most of all, I love being able to enjoy the outdoors without mosquitos or awkward sweat stains.
More than anything, I’ve always found that the change in weather has always presented me with a wealth of inspiration. Words flow from fingertips to keyboard.
September in Review
Ynysfall
September was entirely dedicated to the Ynysfall Codex (live until the end of this month). I posted four fragments dedicated to the project:
I’m particularly proud of the final entry. My work was shaped by the Bible as well as by modern discussions surrounding archaeological sites called tophets. There was evidence of child sacrifice. Most of it is too sickening to discuss in detail. Ynysfall reflects an interesting medieval world and so many of our contributors incorporated Christian influence. This story seemed right at home in the world we built.
Half off… forever!
I’d like to offer 50% off my membership for the foreseeable future. That means that a paid subscription is only $2.50 a month. As paid subscribers, you’ll get first dibs on content and access to a little behind the scenes every month.
Podcast
I featured on a Sword and Saturday podcast on The Iron Crown with The Brothers Krynn and The Man Behind the Screen .
How to be Loved by the Moon
Recently, I released the first episode in a lighthearted series: How to Be Loved by the Moon, a magical-mystery series that follows the optimistic Fiona Blythe and her dour employer, Dr. James Ashford as they solve cases in the small town of Stonesthrow. Uploads will not always be in chronological order and will probably be posted without any sense of time.
This is the first sweet story I’ve ever shared on this site. It’s funny because Fiona and James have lived in my mind for a few years now. I tend to enjoy the darker side of fantasy. This Halloween, however, I’d like to cater to my ✨ whimsical ✨ side.
In October
I will keep my projections for next month minimal. I’d like to continue my current pace. For now, these two stories are on the calendar. I hope you look forward to them!
An Unhappy Patient (How to Be Loved by the Moon)

Shoutout
I’d like to highlight some new writers I’ve come to know on this platform. I’ve gotten the chance to enjoy their work via the Ynsfall Codex. Please give these writers a look!
Special Thanks
I cannot express how much fun I’m having being back on this site. Sincerely, I hope that you enjoy all that I have to offer.
Thank you so much for your time and attention.
Kindly,
M.E.

Thanks for the shoutout! 😄
Happy Autumn! 🍁😄
This reminds me I must write my second ynysfall codex story. Will have a look at Scoot's story to include a reference to it.
